How Can We Help?
Many times people will ask me if I think Chiropractic can help them with one of their many problems that they are having at that moment. My answer is usually pretty simple, “probably so.” Now I am not going to sit here and tell you that Chiropractic is the second coming or anything like that, but it should be a vital aspect of every single persons health care regimen. Your nervous system controls every other system in your body so wouldn’t you want to make sure it is working at the highest level?
If you were stranded alone in the woods without any means to gather food or water, how long do you think you could survive? Two days? A week? Even Two Weeks? Just recently, an 11 year old boy survived on his own for four days in the Utah wilderness, and came out only hungry and dehydrated. The human body can go on working for an extended period of time without food and water. BUT, if you cut the nerve supply in the human body, that part dies instantly.
So that gets us back to how can we help with the problems that are ailing you right now? Is chiropractic going to take away your heart disease, or cure your cancer? No. We don’t claim to actually cure anything. What we do is restore the proper nerve flow and allow the body function at a higher level than it is currently working. Make sense? If you have a nerve going to a certain part of the body that is being choked or pinched, it seems like simple reasoning then that part is not going to be performing as well as it should. Isn’t that what life is all about? Performing at your highest level? Whether you want to increase you VO2 max, improve your balance and motor control, or reduce your pain after a tough game, there have been numerous studies showing that chiropractic can do just that.
Every time you step out onto that rink, field, or court, you want to give your best performance. Name a professional sports team and you can bet that they have a chiropractor on their staff. The biggest names in sports often credit their chiropractors for helping them reach the highest plateaus in their field. Athletes like Tiger Woods (anyone know who he is?), Lance Armstrong (going for #7), and Barry Bonds (chiropractic is just a part of his advantage) have their own personal chiropractors. These people realize that chiropractic can help them make the most of their God given talents.
But even us weekend warriors want to be able to step our games up a notch. If your goal is to be able to get a tiny bit quicker on that first step, or speed up that hand eye coordination you want to make sure the nerves controlling those functions are working at the highest levels. Our goal is to help you achieve yours. Even if it’s just to be able to lace up your skates without pain, we’re here to help.
